How to Make Your New Year’s Resolutions Come True

How to Make Your New Year’s Resolutions Come True
By Megan Ulu-Lani Boyanton
With only a little time left in 2022, an annual tradition waits right around the corner: New Year’s resolutions. It’s easy to conjure up goals in theory, but the practice of reaching them can be a bit more daunting. Fitness aspirations are often top of mind in January, but that eagerness can sometimes wane by February or March. PUSH Gym is here to offer a few tips and tricks to help those resolutions stick in 2023.

1. Why wait for the New Year’s fireworks to make your list of resolutions? Begin to form new  habits now by starting today.
2.  Fitness goals shouldn’t come down to just weight loss or cutting out sugar, as those are almost guaranteed to fail. Instead, make sure your resolutions carry deeper meaning. For instance, you could aim to be healthier, stronger, or more flexible
3. Make sure your goals match your needs and are, ultimately, achievable — even if they’re small accomplishments. You’ll receive that dose of satisfaction when you check one off, instead of setting yourself up for failure.
4. Plan a personal check-in after four to six weeks of chasing your resolutions. Measure your progress. Are you on task? If not, make adjustments to reset yourself for success. Embrace the evolution of your goals!
